for the

All-Russian Scientific Session

The new horizons of humanitarian science in Russia:
a regional dimension
(on the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Institute of the Humanities and the Indigenous Peoples of the North of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences)

23-25 September 2010
Yakutsk, Russian Federation

The following topics are suggested for discussion on the session:

Languages of the peoples of the Sakha Republic in the context of contemporary scientific paradigm
Comparative study of the literatures of the peoples of Siberia: specificity and typology
Folklore of the indigenous peoples of Yakutia: the problems in systematization, typology and publication
Imperial space and the indigenous peoples of North-East Siberia in the context of Russian history
Ethno-social and ethno-cultural transformations, ethno-political processes in the Arctic and in the North: state, analysis, discussions.

The jubilee session will also include the thematic roundtable sessions, the presentations of new editions, the school-seminars for young researchers, the jubilee events.

Humanitarian profile specialists, post-graduate students, interested persons and institutions are invited to participate.
