Session AFMigration and refugee in the Northeast Asia
ContentsFOne of the imminent crisis for the international security in Northeast Asia may happen in the Korean Peninsula. North Korea's nuclear missile development are of a great concern and, while North Koreafs action is now escalating, the international society cannot find a way to stop it. In addition, there exist the discordance among the US, China, the South Korea and Japan in terms of the strategies toward the North Korea. In this session, firstly, we discuss the immigrants/refugees from the North Korea. Secondly, we discuss the past and current migration from the South Korea to the neighboring countries including to Japan which may have an important impact on the future of the migration/refugee issue in the Northeast Asian region as a whole.

ContentsFCurrently, immigrants/refugees are getting serious security issues all over the world, and in the future, we think that problems will emerge in various forms in Northeast Asia region as well. In addition, Climate Change has already become one of the major factors causing and expanding the problems. In this section, we invite three prominent foreign researchers specializing in the relationship between environmental issues and immigration/refugee crisis. Honorable consular of the Republic of Kiribati will be a commentator. We will discuss the present situation and future prospects including how gClimate Justiceh will play out in these complex issues.
